How Abide Started

Abide didn’t start with a big plan. It started with a group of teenagers who were hungry for Jesus. Even after the youth ministry they were part of ended, they kept meeting. They gathered in homes, prayed together, worshiped, and stayed hungry for more.

Their faithfulness didn’t go unnoticed. Parents began to reach out. Conversations turned into prayer. Eventually, trusted leaders stepped back in not to run something new, but to make space for what God was already doing.

What began as a handful of teens meeting around a bonfire has grown into a movement of worship and discipleship, with the mission to bring revival across Walton County in their generation and the ones to come.

Our Mission

  • Create a space where young believers can stay connected to Jesus through worship, prayer, Scripture, and intentional community. We believe abiding in Christ is the foundation of a transformed life.

“Abide in Me, and I in you…apart from Me you can do nothing.” - John 15:4-5

  • Provide biblical teaching, spiritual mentorship, and real-life discipleship that helps young believers mature in their faith. We’re committed to helping youth deepen their roots, discover identity in Christ, and develop leadership grounded in humility and love.

“Rooted and built up in Him and established in your faith just as you were taught.” - Colossians 2:6-7

  • Equip and empower young believers to live missionally by sharing the gospel, serving their communities, and reflecting the love of Jesus in everything they do. We believe lasting fruit looks like lives changed, friendships restored, communities impacted, and hearts surrendered to God.

“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you will be My disciples.” - John 15:8

At Abide With Us, our mission is to help young believers abide in Jesus, grow in their faith, and bear lasting fruit in their daily lives.

Empowered by the Great Commission and grounded in John 15, we are raising up a generation of young disciples who walk closely with Christ, live boldly for Him, and lead others to do the same.

We aim to:

Our Vision

  • They know Jesus personally and pursue Him passionately through worship, prayer, Scripture, and everyday faith. Their strength and identity are found not in the world, but in Him.

  • They are becoming more like Jesus by growing in wisdom, humility, love, and boldness. They challenge and encourage one another, building deep relationships and holding each other up in truth and grace.

  • They are sent out to make a difference by sharing the gospel, serving with compassion, standing for justice, and bringing hope to their schools, homes, and communities. They don’t just attend youth group; they live on mission.

“I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit - fruit that will last.” John 15:6

We envision a movement of young believers who are deeply rooted in Christ, boldly living out their faith, and shining as lights in a broken world. Abide exists not just to create a place to gather but to spark revival in the hearts of young believers across Walton County and beyond.

We see a generation who:

What We Believe

  • We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, holy and eternal, sovereign over the universe. He exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who came to earth, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again so that we could be saved and have eternal life. We believe He is the only way to the Father, and that no one can earn salvation by their own effort.

We believe Holy Spirit is the presence of God living within all believers, guiding us into truth, convicting us of sin, and empowering us to live a life that pleases Him. The Spirit is our Helper, the one Jesus promised to leave with us until He returns.

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, completely true, without error, and unchanging. It is the final authority in all matters of life, faith, and godliness. God is not a God of confusion, and His Word is clear, trustworthy, and eternal.

Scripture is more than information. It is the truth that transforms. It was given to shape our lives, teach us how to obey God, and lead us into a deeper relationship with Him. Even when we don’t fully understand it, we believe the Bible is still true. God is infinite in wisdom, and we are not His equal. Our understanding may be limited, but His Word is not.

  • We believe that all people need salvation, because as Scripture says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We are not saved by works or good behavior, but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Salvation comes when we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, believe in what He accomplished through His death and resurrection, and allow that truth to transform us from the inside out. At the moment of salvation, we receive Holy Spirit and begin a new life, one marked by surrender, growth, and fruit.

This doesn’t mean we become perfect or never make mistakes, but our lives have changed. We continue to seek holiness, to grow more like Christ, and to live in obedience out of love for Him. We believe that salvation is not determined by the opinions of others. It is between each individual and God. He sees the heart and knows who are His.

  • We believe the Church is not a building or a program. It is the global body of believers who follow Jesus. To be part of the Church means more than attending a service; it means belonging to the body of Christ and living it out. People should be able to see evidence of the Church in our actions, our words, and the way we love.

The Church is how Jesus reaches the world today, through His people who reflect His truth, grace, and compassion. We are called to be His hands and feet, to live differently, and to draw people to Him by how we live.

We believe in eternity. Those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and truly receive Him will spend eternal life in Heaven with God. Those who reject Him will spend eternity separated from Him in Hell. These are not just ideas. They are realities, and they reflect the seriousness of God’s justice and the beauty of His grace.

Who It’s For

Abide is for any teen who’s hungry for something real. Whether you’ve grown up in church, been burned by religion, or you're just figuring things out, you are welcome here. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to know the Bible cover to cover.

If you’re willing to show up and be honest, you belong. This is a place to encounter Jesus, ask questions, find truth, and grow in faith alongside people who are doing the same.
